Abstract
An adaptive chunk algorithm is newly devised and a collaborative streaming system is designed for a smoothed multimedia streaming service under time varying traffic conditions. An LMS based prediction filter is used to compensate the effect of time varying background traffic of a wide area network. The performance of the algorithm is tested and its successful operation is verified with MPEG-2 video files.
