Abstract :
This paper addresses the empty container scheduling problem in the specialized railway container transportation system, under the condition of short container resource. It develops an empty container scheduling model with the constraints of capacities, maintenance and time window. The model is solved with Genetic Algorithm to maximize the overall benefit of the system.
