Abstract :
This paper introduces the remote image monitoring system based on ARM and GPRS. Server of the monitoring system is used the embedded Linux system as the platform which is adopted S3C2240 chip as the processor, and stores the digital camera images after JPEG compression and coding, and finally transfers the data to the remote monitoring centre with static IP or domain name using the terminal of GPRS through its serial interface, the monitoring centre displays the images through decoding.
