Abstract :
The Airlines Electric Engineering Committee (AEEC) is an international standards organization comprised of representatives from the major world airlines. AEEC standards define avionics form, fit, function, and interfaces. The AEEC standards process is a well-established process that involves the collective technical expertise of commercial avionics suppliers, airframe manufacturers, and the airlines that fund the activity. AEEC standards are voluntary standards in that they are voluntarily applied due to their acceptance in industry and through a sense of ownership by the parties involved in their preparation. In some cases the AEEC specifications may be applied through a contractual obligation from an airline or airframe manufacturer
