Abstract :
Consecutive MPEG macroblocks are sometimes lost due to errors in transmission of ATM cells. Using the previously decoded block to reconstruct the current frame can generate irritating results when the image contains fast-moving objects. A method to reconstruct missing blocks using neighboring regions from previous frames is described.
