Abstract :
A realization of a triple-mode filter using only TE-mode degeneracies is presented. This approach compares favorably with previous designs that use mixed TE-TM modes. Experimental results obtained with a prototype six-pole, two-cavity, 11.9 GHz, quasielliptic, 30-MHz bandpass filter designed for operation at the degeneracy of the dual TE/sub 114/ and single TE/sub 312/ modes, are described. The unit´s performance shows excellent agreement with the designed response.<>
