Abstract :
The problem of the instrumentation for resonant sensor arrays and in general, of the first elaboration electronics is considered. A new multi-channel instrument for frequency measurements has been developed using a numerical approach that improves noise immunity and decreases measuring time with respect to standard counting techniques. A smart least squares method for achieving compression of measurements is also presented. This method is useful for long acquisition campaign involving a great quantity of data. Finally some experimental results are reported to demonstrate the performance of this instrument
