Abstract :
Results are presented for the probability of packet error in a mobile code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system with forward error-correction coding and interleaving. The effectiveness of coding and interleaving is examined for different channels and for systems with different chip rates, and for RAKE receivers with a different number of taps. Different strategies for adapting the coding and interleaving to channel conditions are also considered
