Abstract :
In comparison to forward power converters, bridge topologies make use of parasitic components for resonant transition without the need of additional clamping circuitry. Thus, they are privileged in building high frequency high power converters, even if high efficiency is required. This paper briefly introduces a new modulation scheme for H-bridges, which combines PWM and phase modulation. The paper focuses on the discussion of experimental data for a power converter prototype built for 200 V...480 V/5 V-750 W, 250 kHz
