  • Abstract
An attempt is made to establish a consistent full-wave spectral domain technique for the analysis of suspended substrate stripline discontinuities. This full-wave solution is rigorous in that all the effects associated with discontinuity are included through the use of the exact spectral domain Green´s function. This approach predicts both the capacitive and inductive effects associated with the discontinuity. Theoretical and experimental investigations revealed that the discontinuity effects are relatively small despite the considerably large physical dimensions. On this basis, the feasibility of a perturbation scheme is conceivable.<>
