Abstract :
Collision between linear polar molecules in 1Σ state, trapped inside a quadrupole electrode is discussed. The collision between electrostatically trapped molecules has quite different characteristics from the collision in the field free space, because confined molecules are electrically polarized, and confined molecules are localized in a single quantum state.
