Abstract :
An accurate technique is described to find the resonant frequencies of a dielectric resonator (DR) mounted on a grounded dielectric substrate. An infinite perfect electric conductor (PEC) tuning plate is mounted over the DR. A symmetrical transverse electric (TE) field is assumed in the structure; however, the technique can be applied to more general hybrid nonsymmetrical fields. Each grounded layer is represented by its equivalent generalized impedance boundary condition (GIBC). Numerical results are shown.<>
