Abstract
The two-layer electromagnetically coupled patch antenna consisting of one fed patch and a parasitic patch is a promising microstrip antenna with good bandwidth and gain characteristics. A spectral-domain full-wave formulation suitable for designs having cylindrical symmetry is presented. Some numerical results are given.<>
