  • Abstract
Event detection has become an important research issue in the decision making process of dynamic systems where one should be able to comprehend the situation in order to make an appropriate decision for future development. And machine intelligence is required to provide a solution for automated event detection. In this paper we propose a hybrid fuzzy logic system that has been used for detecting event, the fuzzy event detector is a linguistic model, which synthesizes complex relations between process variables and process events incorporating experts´ knowledge about the process operation. This kind of detection allows the anticipation of appropriate control actions, which depend upon the selected membership functions used to characterize the process under scrutiny. Simulation experiment shows the feasibility and validity of the proposed method.
