Abstract :
The paper deals with a prototype for a small power system used for distributed generation. The system contains a group motor-generator that uses a static power converter controlled with the interface board and the modular system dSpace, for a power of almost 7 kW and can be used in modern power systems - including those for the electric driving of urban vehicles. The system´s main components are presented: the power schematic, the interface board, the dSpace modular system. The interface board and the dSpace modular system were designed, realized and tested in laboratory. Experimental tests were performed for various operating conditions and operating regimes of the entire system. One presents the waveforms for three categories of currents: (a) injected by the inverter in the power system; (b) absorbed by the non-linear load; (c) generated by the supplying network. One could demonstrate a proper operation of the static converter and of the corresponding control system.
