  • Abstract
Tissue microarray (TMA) has been widely used for the study of tissue, which is applicable to research, diagnosis, and therapy. The ever-increasing usage of TMA even to the remote locations brings about the requirement of accessibility; which translates into the need for quality, portability, and affordability. This paper describes the work along this direction. The technology put forth in this paper includes the methodology to accomplish the following objectives: minimizing the wastage of the collected tissue, depositing the collected tissue in grid geometry, and allowing rapid collection and deposition of tissue from the donor block to the recipient one. Mechanical and mechatronic approaches are employed in the solution.
