            Abstract :
This paper reports an investigation of the distortion of pulses propagating on a terminated microstrip line of finite length due to the line´s dispersion. The Fourier transform and its inverse are used to compute the transient signals. The dispersion of the microstrip line, needed in the analysis, is calculated using the spectral-domain method. Results are presented for finite-length microstrip lines terminated by a resistor, an open circuit, and an inductor, showing clear distortions of the propagating signals.
