Abstract :
The measurement of the tropospheric Ku-band transmission matrix is a very sensitive method to study the anisotropic behaviour of the propagation medium. Measured parameters are, alike radar measurements, integrated quantities of difficult interpretation due to the wave interaction with a quite variable propagation conditions. The main techniques used to infer channel structure from measured time series data is described. Examples using real data events are given.
