  • Abstract
Nonlinear dielectrics (dielectrics with field-dependent dielectric constant and/or conductivity) are designed into high voltage systems including distribution accessories. Analyzing the field distribution in a device which employs a nonlinear dielectric requires use of a program designed for that purpose, as the field distribution is a function of the permittivity and the local permittivity is a function of the local field. We demonstrate the application of such a program to the case of a distribution cable joint
