Message from NAFIPS general chairs

This year´s conference addresses many aspects of fuzzy logic, sets, and systems as they relate to multiple theoretical topics, e.g., mathematical foundations of fuzziness and fuzzy logic; as well as to practical subjects, e.g., economics, natural language processing and web technologies, medical and biomedical systems, hybrid intelligent systems, computing with words, social and cultural life, control. The common problem confronting such systems is the representation and handling of uncertainty in order to better support human-centric processing of information. We are convinced that such variety of topics will stimulate popularity of fuzzy sets and systems, and will lead to even more theoretical achievements and interesting applications.
