Abstract
The Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) Department at Purdue University, USA, has developed a telecommunications curriculum to meet the increasing need for telecommunication professionals. This paper focuses on the development of the telecommunications curriculum and the laboratory design approach to developing a long-term partnership with GTE Mobilnet and the benefits of an industry-university partnership. This paper also addresses the benefits of faculty-industry internship programs based on the author´s experience with GTE Mobilnet
