Abstract :
While the E and H plane couplings are important for rectangular grid arrays, the dominant coupling in triangular grid arrays is between two diagonally oriented patches. In the design of circularly polarized patches, the mutual coupling between two perpendicularly oriented patches is of interest. The authors present calculated mutual coupling results for the diagonal and perpendicular orientations and compare them with the E and H plane orientations. In addition to the coupling parameter C/sub p/, the mutual impedance is also given for a number of cases.<>
