Abstract
A rigorous analysis of the mutual coupling admittance between two transverse series-fed dipoles by proximity-coupled versus element spacing is presented. A comparison between measurements and theory has shown good agreement. Thus, this method of calculation, considering the radiating elements as a two-port model, can be included in a synthesis of a linear array of microstrip antennas electromagnetically series-fed; this type of array is more easily manufactured than a microstrip array electromagnetically parallel-fed.<>
