Abstract
A general and effective method is presented for the evaluation of mutual coupling between aperture-coupled patches in multielement arrays. The current distributions on the arrays are evaluated by using a combination method, and the excitation mechanism of the patches is taken into account. Results are compared with measured data. The calculated magnitudes of scattering coefficients and the self-impedance Z/sub 66/ are in good agreement with measurements given by D.H. Schaubert (1989).<>
