Abstract :
The Internet of Things has shown its unique advantages for medical services in the recent years. In this paper, we present a new idea of remote pain assessment system based on the Internet of Things. The system detects the pain feelings for infants through facial expression sensing. It tunnels a comprehensive and indispensable medical service via internet to any location. The system featuring ubiquitous connectivity and ambient intelligence provides reliable real-time pain level through facial expression in infants. It is reliable and cost efficient as well.
