Abstract :
In conclusion, we have demonstrated encoding-decoding operation at 1.55 μm using a pair of low loss, fiber pigtailed pulse shapers. Fiber pigtailing has the advantage of true portability and cascadability without repeated complex alignment procedures. The low insertion loss makes the pulse-shaper an attractive candidate for use in fiber communication systems which operate at low average powers
