  • Abstract
    A new mechanism for RPC (remote procedure calls) execution is introduced, and test results are provided. The key advantages of the new mechanism are: (1) it offers an RPC mechanism with increased fault tolerance; (2) the chances of occurrence of message orphans are greatly reduced; (3) the network communication with the servers and the execution of the procedures remotely in the server nodes go on approximately in parallel; (4) detection of communication errors is easy and feasible; and (5) the mechanism is transparent to the user
