Abstract :
A phase difference algorithm for the computation of cross-range velocity using two conventional imaging radars is presented. The features of the dominant scatterer of an object are used both for radial motion compensation and for the measurement of cross-range motion. As a result, the generalized ISAR (inverse synthetic aperture radar) imaging is equivalent to the imaging of the object rotating at known rate. A computer simulation is used to check the cross-range velocity results and the imaging of a four-scatterer target.<>
