Abstract :
We demonstrate a diode-pumped Cr:LiSrAlF6 laser with a cw output power of 1.4 W, and a total mode locked output power of 500 mW at a pulse width of 110 fs. This is about 4 to 5 times more power than could be typically obtained from a standard diode-pumped Cr:LiSrAlF6 laser. We have applied optimized modematching of the pump beam to the lasing mode
