Abstract :
A log-periodic patch microstrip antenna is proposed and is studied numerically by the full-wave spectral-domain method, which can accurately take into account all physical effects, including radiation and surface wave coupling. Complete antenna characteristics are computed and presented. The mechanism of broadband behavior is also discussed. This class of conformal antennas proves useful in large number of applications, including mobile communication antennas.<>
