Abstract :
In this paper, a novel control method-dynamic matrix control-is developed for application to synchronous motor drive systems. For synchronous motors, stator fluxes are discretized to certain positioning points by controlling the stator currents accurately, thereby allowing step motion. This scheme breaks traditional control methods of drive control and uses predictive models of step-response, a rolling optimization strategy and a feedback control algorithm to solve the problems of modeling and control for synchronous motor step motion. Simulation and experiment research has been carried out on the position control of synchronous motors with two kinds of control modes, the L and L2 performance index. This research shows that dynamic matrix control can obtain better dynamic and static characteristics of the servo control systems of synchronous motor
