Abstract :
The aim of this research is to study the power cost reduction of glass manufacturing process for industrial customers and to relieve the crisis of electricity shortage during summer peak time period through load management (LM). This research can also provide decision makers and managers with useful LM strategies to use as guidance. The results indicate that local glass industry is highly willing to participate in the development of LM strategies. As the running time of a ball mill is adjusted to the preferential rates of time of use (TOU), industry customers can save a certain amount of electricity cost.
