Abstract :
To realize efficiently, Radio on Fiber (RoF) is candidate of an universal infrastructure for various wireless services and has been studied. Furthermore Radio on Free Space Optics has been also studied to connect among various radio base stations more easily and cheaply. In this system, the RF signal transmission method is required to overcome the large optical link loss, background noise, and so on. This paper proposes an optical FM method with chirp controller. In the proposed method, the large FM detection index can be obtained as the intermodulation distortion due to the nonlinearity of FM-LD is lower than the system without chirp controller.
