Abstract :
A simple and efficient technique for all-optical subcarrier frequency up-conversion in a radio-over-fiber (RoF) link using an electrooptic phase modulator and a dispersive fiber is demonstrated. Up-conversion of a 100 Mb/s to 1 Gb/s BPSK modulated subcarrier in a 25-km fiber link is experimentally demonstrated with a low BER obtained after demodulation.
