Abstract :
Demonstrated for the first time is a system for real-time monitoring of electromagnetic near-field distributions over devices/circuits at a specific radio frequency. It is based on the electro-optic heterodyne detection with the photonic parallelism employed; 8 x 8 pixel data are acquired simultaneously via arrays of photodiodes and mixers. The highest frame rate is 10 Hz, which provides even real-time display of motion pictures. Reported are its applications to a patch antenna and a moving RF emitter.
