Abstract :
Requirements for computing and communication environments are changing quickly today. To support changing organisations and units, dynamic virtual networks are needed that adjust to the posed requirements and that do not have limitations at the borders of companies or department sites. In the future private and public networks cannot be separated as properly as they are today. In scenarios like this large distances have to be spanned, but also locally distributed teams have to be integrated, therefore multimedia communication is crucial. Computing power found in companies are usually not used to full capacity since not all users are sitting at their computers and consuming all processing power at all times. In this paper the aspect of multimedia communication is examined with regard to distributed collaborative working. A new architecture is proposed which supports distributed collaborative working and temporally changing teams
