Abstract :
The authors describe two theoretical checks that can be used to assess the accuracy of MOM (method of moments) code predictions for 3D bodies with coatings modeled by an impedance boundary condition. These are based on Weston´s theorem and energy/momentum conservation. As an example of how Weston´s theorem can be applied to numerical calculations using the IBC3D code, the authors examine an isotropically coated pyramid. Energy conservation was used to assess the accuracy of surface field prediction for a coated elliptic cylinder.<>
