Abstract :
The studies of a reconfigurable antenna system to fulfil the FSS (frequency selective surface) antenna requirements for the next generation of the Spanish communication satellite system are presented. The scenario, the antenna design tools developed, and the antenna design, performed under an ESA contract named the ASYRIO project, are described. Software to optimize the reconfigurable contoured beam antenna has been developed and tested with the electrical design of the FSS HISPASAT-II antenna.<>
