Abstract
Inductor-less half-bridge piezoelectric transformer based resonant converters can offer considerable reductions in mass and form factor over their discrete counterparts. This work presents an analytical model for calculating the load and frequency range over which such converters can achieve ZVS given the large input capacitance these transformers typically present.
