Abstract :
In this paper a model for a room transfer function (RTF) using common acoustical poles is applied to achieve active noise cancelation (ANC) in a small reverberant room. An algorithm has been developed and studied which is an improved version of the multiple error LMS (MELMS) algorithm. The new one is more suitable in practical real time implementations. A comparison between the new algorithm and the MELMS has also been made. The results show that similar noise reductions can be achieved by both algorithms, but it must be noted that the new one requires far fewer storage and computational power requirements
