            Abstract : 
The aspects of the development of the wideband dispersion compensator on a single-mode optic fibre are considered. The relations, that have to satisfy both the main and compensating fibres so as to provide uniform compensation of chromatic dispersion over a wide waveband while transmitting the multiplex signal, are obtained. The numerical example of the parameters of a fibre for a wideband dispersion compensator is analysed
