Abstract :
The determination of the spatial position and orientation of industrial objects by optical sensors is important for the application of image processing methods in industrial automation. All approach is described which employs the extraction of a 2D structural description from a monocular view of the scene in a first step and a comparison with the 3D structural description of prototypes in a second step in order to find the object position. The structural comparison employs a relaxation method
