Abstract :
The authors investigate a more accurate UTD (uniform theory of diffraction) solution to scattering from tapered resistive-loaded conducting strips using a rigorous formulation introduced by R.G. Rojas (1988) and H.C. Ly (1989). The resistive tapers are quantized into lambda /10 long discrete resistive strips for the UTD calculations. Backscatter predictions using the UTD formulation compare well with the MM calculations and experimental measurements.<>
