Abstract :
The authors consider the realistic configuration of a thin-wire Vee antenna fed by a two-wire transmission line with conductors of the same radius a<< lambda . The Poynting vector method is applied to the entire surface of the transmission line-Vee antenna radiating system, and the solution for the impedance of the Vee antenna as ´seen´ as a terminating load by the transmission line is obtained in terms of exponential integrals.<>
