Abstract :
Many diseases can be prevented when they experience signs or symptoms of illness at an early stage. Prevention of chronic disease and illness at an early stage is central to the development of a sustainable health system. So in this study, we explore to identify preventive health information need among general public in China. Findings indicate that the most important information need for the majority of the respondents is: Symptoms of disease, Etiology and course of disease, Specific diagnosis information, Treatment plan, treatment description, and Advising on symptom management.
