Abstract :
A scheme is proposed to facilitate remote monitoring (metering) of HT consumers from the substation. This uses the HT feeder itself as the communication medium. The feasibility of the scheme is studied through simulation and is also experimentally verified on TNA. The results obtained are presented and discussed. The scheme adopts series injection technique. The scheme proposed is different in approach from that of popular power line carrier communications used for long haul communication
