Abstract
This paper introduce practice considerations for design and analyze direct conversion transceiver for RFIC based applications. Direct conversion transceiver is the most popular architecture today for RFIC implementation, where low cost and low current solutions are required. This paper analyzes the inband and out-bands performance of the transmitter chain and receiver chain for optimum SNR (both TX&RX), ACPR (TX) and immunity from interferences (RX). This paper shows the performance of 4Ã5 MIMO RFIC in 0.18 u BiCMOS SiGe technology that was designed to support 3 Gbps transmission rate over 5 GHz ISM band for HDTV wireless market according to the WHDI¿ standard.
