Analysis and evaluation about the barriers of the adoption and implementation of Electronic Health Record system: A comparison study between China and Korea

Compare to the comparison research with European countries where the Electronic Health Record (EHR) has developed very well, the comparison between China and Korea, the two Northeast countries which with the similar cultural backgrounds, seems to be more significant. The focus of this research is on the implementation and adoption barriers about EHR system. Four items, which includes capital or financial support, difficulties from technology, resistance from the physicians and patients, and the adherence study situation, are selected as the comparative framework to do the analysis and evaluation in this paper. As the conclusion, China and Korea both have their own merits and weakness about EHR system and there still exist many problems and difficulties to be solved.
