Abstract
This paper presents a stochastic modeling of random occurrences of the miniature end-plate potentials observed at the frog neuromuscular junction by self-exciting point processes, and also provides a procedure for estimating the parameters which characterize the self-exciting point process with the expectation maximization algorithm
