Abstract
This paper describes the power line communication (PLC) networks and their features, as well as how the quality of service is managed and how advanced applications can take advantage of the network QoS. The service integration is also treated, and the open service gateway initiative is introduced as the solution for integrating different technology services. All the work exposed in this paper is part of the 6POWER EU R&D project.
